Insuphishient: Your Daily Phish Podcast Fix
Insuphishient is a Phish podcast hosted by Matt and Nick — a 500-episode series dedicated to exploring the music, culture, and one-of-a-kind universe of the greatest band of all time.
With no set setlists and no rules, each episode dives into Phish shows, band lore, and wild theories — blending deep insights with hilarious hot takes. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or just discovering Phish, there’s a spot for you here.
Each week follows a groove of its own:
- Monday: Soundcheck — setting the stage for the week ahead.
- Tuesday: International Jams — exploring Phish's global impact.
- Wednesday: World Wide Wednesdays — tracking the latest Phish news from across the web.
- Thursday: This Day in Phishtory — revisiting legendary shows from the archives.
- Friday: Big Money Friday — when the chaos ramps up and anything goes.
It’s just two friends talking Phish… mostly. Expect the (un)expected.

Welcome to the Sound Check: Vol Cinco de Mayo
Monday, May 5 — Soundcheck: Cinco de May-oh-no
Matt and Nick are back and they’ve traded their setlists for salt rims. It’s Cinco de Mayo. There are margaritas on the mixer, guac in a patch cable, and Jimmy Buffett has somehow been playing in the background for over three hours. No one hit play. No one is stopping it either.
Here's what's coming this week — assuming we recover:
- Tuesday: International Jams gets diplomatic. We're crossing borders and bending timelines. The show might be real. The location probably isn’t.
- Wednesday: World Wide Wednesday returns, with listener texts, forum spirals, and Nick trying to convince Matt that Phish should release an album under a pseudonym.
- Thursday: This Day in Phish - Tory hits again. The past is now, the now is gone, and we still don’t know who submitted that 5/8 in a voice memo but thanks.
- Friday: Big Money Friday is back, with another NFT-adjacent fever dream, a surprise cameo from Derek’s cousin Eric (who sells custom wristbands), and a licensing war over who owns the phrase “Jam Flu.”
And yeah—Summer Tour starts June 20. It’s not here yet, but it is getting close enough to circle dates and start lying about where you’re staying.
Tequila is talking. So are we.
It’s Soundcheck. Let’s go.
If you are new always listen to the latest show first!
